Recently, I have been trying out some new skincare products. In my opinion, some were really good and met my expectations while some hmmm!!!!!! I give a thumb down.

I always like to hear the good news first. Therefore, out of the six products I tried, the ones that works are listed first:

Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir Oil

I received the Vichy Neovadiol Magistral Elixir Oil as a sample. I mix two drops of this oil with my moisturizer. I’ll then gently rub it on my face. Sometimes I would just use this alone and then put on my moisturizer. Both ways I got the same results. My face looks very glowing, plumy and healthy whenever I used this product. It contains oils that have omega 6-9. We always heard omega is really good for the skin. That is why we ate our green leafy vegetables such as kale etc, fishes etc. As we are ageing we need to start taking care of our skin more. Without enough oil, skin cells become weak, dehydrated, and prone to wrinkles and flaking.

Also, when you near to get your period for some that is the time when our skin would behave terribly. But since this product is part of my skincare routine, fortunately, that did not happen. I would normally use this product in the evening. When I woke up I would get overwhelmed with the result.I will be purchasing the full size. However, I am using my sample very lightly because this product is not cheap. Lol!!. To be honest I did not expect much because Vichy is one of the brands that you do not hear much about. Also, I tried others similar types of product from different brands but I did not get an awesome result. To be noted I have combination skin.

Youth to the People Kale + Spinach + Green Tea Superfood Cleanser and Kale + Spinach+ Hyaluronic Acid Superfood Cream

From this product and the first ones, I am sure you are seeing a pattern. That is, I am experimenting with products related to ageing. Indeed, I am 27 years old and some of the products that I was using are not working good anymore. I am guessing my skin is changing as I am ageing. Now is when my skin is looking more dull, dehydrated and my pores are larger. I am on the hunt for new products to facilitate my problem.

After reading the reviews on the Sephora website about the Youth to The People products, I really wanted to try them. But they can be pricey. Luckily, I found the mini version and it did not cost a lot. When I first used the cleanser I really like how my skin looks. It felt clean and looks clear. You might think this cleanser will not really cleanse your skin properly, trust me, it does. It very light but cleanses deeply. I liked It does not give you the drying feeling after using it.

The moisturizer is good too, first used I did not like. I felt it did not give me enough moisture. But the second day I used that was not the case. I am guessing it had to adjust to my skin. Now I actually liked it because how it is a light moisture but at the same time, it makes my skin feel hydrated. Also, I must mention these products smelled really nice; a light scent. One of its ingredients is spinach.

Vichy Proeven Brightening Cleanser

Another product from Vichy, I bought this cleanser due to the fact that I have some acne marks and I would like something to assist in help fade them. I did not see that this cleanser helps with that. It does make my skin looks brighter but doesn’t help with fading my dark spots. However, this product is very good for taking off makeup. I also like that it does not make my skin felt dry after using it. It is an ok product but I will not repurchase it.

Herbivore Orchid Youth Preserving Facial Oil

This is a very light oil. But at the same time, it offers a lot of benefits. It helps makes my skin healthier and add a mild sheen. It does not make your skin oily but it sinks fast into your skin. Plus it smells really nice. The only things I did not like about it, is that it has a grainy texture.I used it every other day. I slightly pat it onto my face.

Pixi Hydrating Milky Serum

I bought this product for adding more hydration to my skin. After the winter my skin was on the drier side. When I applied makeup sometimes my face would look a little patchy. This Pixi Hydrating Milky serum did not help with any of my issues. For me, I think it makes my skin looks shinier throughout the day and less moisturizing. My skin tone looks more faded when I used it. I do not understand what is the purpose of this serum. For me, It did not treat my skin or makes it looks good. Maybe it names “Milky Serum” because the formula is like milk.Waste of money. This was my first Pixi product and I wasn’t impressed.
