This is the time when the place is very heated and my skin gets more oily. I do not like to wear a lot of makeup during the summer times. I dislike the feeling when sweaty skin mix with makeup. There are days when I would only be wearing little concealer, lipstick and of course pressed powder.
However, if someone was to browse through my makeup bag, I will be listing the little bits that they will find. I will also explain why I am using these products. In case you want to try these products maybe my review can help you make a better decision in purchasing or using them 🙂
SO LET’S WE GO AND HUNT MY SUMMER’S MAKEUP BAG. WONDER WHAT WE’LL FIND?????????
The Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm SPF 15
This was my first luxury makeup purchase. I remember that I really checked different foundations before I purchased this one. I wanted something that would feel very light but have some coverage. Thankfully, I decided to purchase this lightweight foundation, Givenchy Teint Couture Blurring Foundation Balm. Oh my! it applies beautifully and does not leave my face feeling heavy.
It has a watery formula consistency which causes it to blend well. My makeup looks very natural and polished when I use this foundation. But If you want plenty coverage you have to reapply it more than ones. The nice thing about this foundation is that it has SPF. This makes it an ideal foundation to use during the summer times. But I also used it during the cold times. It is always good to use a product that has sun protection. I should mention that this foundation smells very nice – like a luxurious scent. I apply it using a makeup sponge.
Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying Powder – you will definitely be finding the Urban Decay De-Slick Mattifying powder in my makeup bag. The reason is I will always be in the need for something that will set my makeup and helps keep the shine at bay. This is my favourite powder to do this. I did a review about this powder. The Murad Acne Treatment Concealer: My favourite face concealer. I love this stuff. I do not understand why many persons do not speak about this concealer. Even though it has Salicylic acid which we know is good to help prevent and heal pimples, it does not makes my skin dry. I dab on my spots or acne marks to make them less visible. At least I know I am using a product that will fight the spots existence. lol. However, this is not an eye concealer. The texture of this concealer is thick which makes it very hard to apply under the eyes plus its ingredients also make it unsuitable.
The Maybelline Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer:
I have not played around with many eye concealers. I tend to choose either this or the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. But as of now, I am using this. The reason is that this concealer rarely creases under my eye. It wears really nicely and does help in hiding my under-eyes dark circle. I like this concealer texture more than the Nars Radiant Creamy Concealer. For me, the Nars Concealer dried very fast making it more difficult to apply. I like to dab the Instant Age Rewind Eraser Dark Circle Treatment Concealer lightly under my eyes using my finger to ensure its spreads properly. Then I will use the makeup sponge to blend it into my skin.
EOS Lip Balm: I always need to have a lip balm because before I apply my lipstick I use a lip balm. My GOTO lip balm has to be the EOS lip balm because it is affordable and works very good in moisturizing my lips. It helps make my lipstick application very smooth and makes my lip looks less chapped.
Marc Jacob Le Marc Lip Creme Lipstick – I use the colour, “Kiss Kiss Bang Bang”. This is a very nice pinkish mauve colour. The colour is very suitable when you do not want to looks over dressed yet giving you a sophisticated look. It is a very pretty colour. The lasting power of this lipstick makes it the perfect lipstick to be worn when you have a full summer outing day. I really like the texture, it does not make my lip feels or look dry. But it is a costly lipstick. Thankfully, I received it as a birthday gift from Sephora.
Eye Pencil – Lastly, this might be strange to some. Sometimes I use a simple eye pencil to fill my eyebrows. I used it very lightly on my eyebrows in order to get a very natural finish. I used random eye pencil.
Hope you had fun looking through my makeup bag 🙂
